Buy the battery the contract describes.
KKME runs battery procurement for developers and investors, from the first non-disclosure agreement to the purchase order. The exhibits on this page are the working documents of that process with the parties removed.

Lowest price, rarely the cheapest battery
A quotation's megawatt-hour is whatever the supplier chooses to measure: nameplate or usable, at the terminals or at the point of interconnection, new or after year one. Comparison begins only after every offer is restated on one basis, each adjustment shown. On that basis offers differ by 10–15 %, and the lowest headline price is rarely the cheapest battery.
- Offers arrive on different Incoterms.
- Offers define capacity differently: nameplate, usable at the point of interconnection, beginning of life.
- Offers run different warranty horizons and treat auxiliary power differently.

Contract review, clause by clause
A review memo covers the assessment, the deal-breakers, the clause-by-clause findings, cross-document consistency and the negotiation strategy. Cross-document consistency is where the decisive finding usually sits: a technical agreement and a warranty signed by two different entities, or three years of guaranteed capacity under a warranty priced for twelve.
- RED
- Deal-breaker as drafted: capacity definition, liquidated-damages cap, guarantee trigger, governing law.
- YELLOW
- Negotiable: payment milestones, warranty start, spare-parts pricing horizon.
- GREEN
- Acceptable: matches our position or the industry standard.
- AMBIGUOUS
- Two documents say two things; resolved before signature and logged.

Engagement
Within two weeks of the scope being agreed the request for quotation is with the makers we have run RFQs with before (CATL, BYD, Sungrow, Huawei, Hithium, AlphaESS, Cornex, Cubenergy, Hyperstrong and Envision, with Power Electronics for the conversion system). Since 2025: over 600 MWh of storage procured or in procurement for clients; details on request.
